We are looking for an Intermediate QA Engineer to work on the BiblioWeb and BiblioEmail products to apply innovative solutions to challenging problems. Help ensure we ship high quality products to all our library users and scale the product through automation and strong QA practices. As a part of the BiblioWeb and BiblioEmail team, you’ll have a direct impact on public life in the communities BiblioCommons serves.Job Description:

How you will make an impact: 

– Design and execute test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage of the BiblioWeb and BiblioEmail products. 

– Participate in Agile ceremonies that include daily standups, grooming sessions, sprint retrospectives, and planning. 

– Implement and maintain the automated test scripts for the application, identify and present logical arguments for and against automation opportunities. 

– Thoroughly test products through all phases of the development life cycle (functional testing, regression/release testing, and performance testing).

– Contribute to continuous process improvements that increase the efficiency of QA and development.

– Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality that represent the interest of users and customers through relentless pursuit of a quality product.

– Collaborate with Development & PM teams effectively to improve our software development life cycle process and deliver quality software.

What you will bring to the team: 

– Passion for working with consumer-facing web applications. 

– Strong knowledge in the testing life cycle, test processes, test case generation, and QA methodologies within an agile environment. 

– Ability to influence requirements and design to improve quality system performance and testability.

– Ability to design, implement and execute automation solutions that are programmatically driven. 

– Hands on experience with automation/open-source tools and frameworks (particularly Selenium-WebDriver, PyTest, Allure, etc).

– Strong knowledge in cross browser platform testing in cloud-based environments. 

– Experience working with REST APIs and libraries/tools (e.g Python Requests, Postman, Rest Assured).

– Previous experience with Python a strong plus or JavaScript. 

– Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Points For: 

– Understanding of web accessibility testing 

– Python scripting 


– 4+ years of experience with software testing experience  

– 3+ years of automation scripting, preferably using Selenium-WebDriver and Python programmatically (Javascript also considered a plus, other language bindings considered).

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
