Think Research is looking for our next Director of User Insights & Analytics. Reporting to the CTO, the Director of User Insights & Analytics will be an expert in analytics and develop intimate knowledge of all our end users through comprehensive data collection and advance analysis. You will scale our user analytics across all business lines and transform user data into insights that inform strategy and decision making to support user engagement and growth. You will collaborate with Business Line Leads as well as Marketing, Product, Sales, and Engineering teams to cultivate and strategically implement data-driven ideas to grow user engagement. Creating optimal processes and procedures, you will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by design.


You Will Have The Opportunity To:

– Deeply understand our users and identify opportunities for growth and optimization at every stage of their lifecycle

– Transform data and information into insights that inform high-level strategy and tactical decision-making in support of user engagement objectives

– Be the user data expert and conduct competitive analysis and gap analysis

– Anticipate and communicate business risks, while providing mitigation recommendations to clients and internal counterparts

– Ensure high quality, on-time delivery of solutions under tight deadlines to meet business needs

– Compile insights and analysis into excel, powerpoint, or other formats as required, aligning measurement approach with internal Analytics team to ensure consistency in data representation

– Be a champion for a data-driven user engagement culture

– Build statistical and advanced analytics models to explore business hypotheses

– Partner with Marketing and Product teams to market test your hypothesis support the development of content, product and marketing plans that will grow engagement with our users and attract new user segments

What You Will Bring:

– Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent experience

– 8-10 years work experience in user analytics strategy, marketing, product management or related area

– Understand web and app user psychology and user experience trends with an emphasis on growing engagement

– Understand diverse audiences and their needs

– Strong consultative customer-facing solution design experience, with demonstrated business acumen in a variety of domains

– Ability to relay a business problem in a clear and concise way from the customer to our product and engineering teams

– Strong personal leadership and collaborative skills, combined with comprehensive, practical experience and knowledge in the end-to-end delivery of complex solutions

– Experience with schema design, dimensional data modelling, and writing advanced SQL queries

– Experience in data warehousing and building ETL solutions for data processing pipelines an asset

– Programming skills and some knowledge of Python, R, and SQL

– Experience in statistical methods, data profiling, cleaning, and mining

– Experience with data big data and visualization technologies such as Qlik

– A strong, confident communicator and the ability to influence key stakeholders

– Ability to handle multiple projects at a time with ease

– Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix environment

– Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills
