We have an excellent opportunity for an AP Administrator to take on our accounts payable function (invoice verification, coding and entering invoices, preparation of cheques, EFTs, and remittances). We’re looking for someone who has a high level of responsibility, organization and a keen eye for detail. You’ll have the chance to demonstrate these and other skills as you administer the entire function.


What You’ll Do          

– Be accountable for all AP tasks taking full ownership of the process from end to end

– Ensure various bank accounts are funded appropriately before payment and payroll runs

– Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding and approvals from the appropriate level of management

– Respond to inquiries from employees and vendors on a timely basis

– Credit card statement reconciliation and receipt matching

– Support the month end and year end processes with timely closing and accruals

– Manage the Concur process for employee expense reporting

– Prepare and process ACH batches, wires, bill payments and cheques

– Implement process improvement for increased efficiency

– Other administrative, accounting and reporting duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

– Five plus years’ experience in an accounts payable role in a highly controlled environment, preferably manufacturing industry

– Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Accounting/Business Administration

– Thorough understanding of Accounts Payable procedures and generally accepted accounting policies

– Experience with accounting software, preferably an ERP system

– Banking experience

– Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
